Cheryl Cole isn't too upset with Lauren Platt's X Factor axe, saying that the youngster went out in a high in tonight's results.
Another act left this weekend as in last night's X Factor 2014 results we saw Lauren Platt booted out.
Discussing the outcome, Lauren's mentor Cheryl said: "She went out on a high.
"She's such a composed, confident girl. She's just a beautiful young woman, it's been a pleasure to work with her."
The Girls Aloud singer, now out of the contest with no acts remaining, continued: "I want to say thank you to everyone who did back her and did vote for her to this point.
"She's up against people who had a lot of experience who are older, she's got some growing to do. She's still got so much potential."
But Cheryl also added of the 17-year-old's maturity: "It freaks me out, I talk to her and it's like talking to someone my age."
Speaking about his decision to send Lauren home, Simon Cowell said: "I thought looking over the whole season, the had that desire to be there more than Lauren."
But Cheryl snapped: "Tactics!"
Asked who she was now backing to win, Cheryl refused to give a name and declared: "May the best man win."
