Channel 4 have announced that they will be filming in Wales for Educating Cardiff, the latest series set to follow Educating Essex, Educating Yorkshire and Educating The East End.
The show which follows the lives of students and teachers in a secondary school will film in Willows High School, located in the south east of Cardiff. The school which brings pupils from three different areas together has "been on a rapid and considerable journey of improvement", Channel 4 have stated.
"We were delighted when we are asked to take part in the fourth series," the school's head teacher Joy Ballard said. "Willows has been on an incredible journey over the past three years and has been transformed from one of the worst performing schools in the country to a school that we are very proud of."
"Our pupils are amazing; warm, friendly and funny with such incredible potential and our teachers talented, committed and always prepared to go that extra mile to ensure that our pupils achieve – no matter what their starting point.
"We believe that the relationships between our staff and pupils are extraordinary and want the series to show how so many of our pupils are beginning to fulfill their life potential."
The popular series' executive producer, David Clews said: "You can really feel the charm and character of the place as soon as you walk through the gates and start talking to the students. We really are excited about making Educating in Wales."
Although an official name for the series has not yet been announced, we're betting Educating Cardiff could be a strong possibility. They are expected to begin filming for the series in January with the series set to air in autumn 2015.
