X Factor's Fleur East has issued an apology to Mark Ronson following her performance of his new track Uptown Funk on the show.
Fleur's cover of the song shot straight to Number 1 on iTunes over a month before the original was due to be released.
The success of Fleur's version has seen the full song now officially put up for download on iTunes, having now overtaken the X Factor track at the top of the charts.
Speaking to BBC's Radio 1, Fleur said sorry to Ronson for 'stealing his thunder'.
"I'm really sorry, but all I can say is it's props to all their creative hard work because it's an amazing song," she said. "I don't know what they were thinking in their minds. I don't think anyone expected my performance to be as popular as it was. We didn't expect it to go to number one on iTunes. That's crazy like."
Fleur went on: "I think straight away they were like, 'oh wow, what's happened here?' – so they had to speed up the release date."
Since her performance on Saturday night, Fleur's video has been watched over a million times on YouTube.
But the release of Mark Ronson's original version of the song, which features Bruno Mars, could impact the eventual X Factor winner.
Bookies are now offering odds it'll keep the latest champ off the Christmas top spot next weekend.
"Fleur's X Factor performance has pushed this song to the forefront of everyone's mind and there is a very real chance that this song could muscle into the race for Christmas number one," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
The X Factor final airs this weekend on ITV from 8:30PM on Saturday, featuring appearances from all of Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, Megan Trainer, Olly Murs, One Direction and Sam Smith
