Fleur East has been signed to Simon Cowell's Syco record label.
Fleur lost to Ben Haenow in the final of The X Factor last year to miss out on being crowned the latest winner of the ITV series.
But not winning hasn't hurt Fleur who's penned a "mega-bucks record deal" with Syco.
It's the first time that Simon has directly signed a show's winner with previous acts such as Marcus Collins, JLS and Olly Murs being picked up by other labels such as Epic and RCA.
Simon made no secret of his love for Fleur on the show with some viewers even accusing him of favouring her over fellow Overs category act Ben.
An X Factor source told The Sun newspaper today: "It's unprecedented for Simon to personally sign one of the runners-up.
"But it's a sign he believes Fleur is going to be a massive star."
Earlier this month saw X Factor winner Ben officially sign his own record contract.
His winner's song – a cover of OneRepublic's Something I Need – shot straight to the Number 1 spot at Christmas has has since sold over 300,000 copies.
Ben said: "Getting to work with Simon during the show was incredible. He is a great guy and amazing mentor – and really helped me as an artist. I can't wait to start working with him and the team again and putting together a great record for 2015."
Simon added: "Ben is a great talent and a great guy. I'm thrilled he is now officially part of the Syco family and can't wait to get working with him on his first album.
