X Factor boss has taken a swipe at Jake Quickenden over his decision to enter the jungle.
Hunky Jake was eliminated from the X Factor live shows back in October but quickly ended up on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
He's set to return to The X Factor for the final this weekend at Wembley Arena, although there could be a bit of a frosty atmosphere between him and Simon.
Speaking at a press conference today ahead of the final, Simon made a bit of a dig at Jake's choice and attitude towards the show.
He said: "I think in any competition if you don want to win, that tell me that you haven't got that killer instinct to do well in the real world.
"If you're happy to come fourth or tenth and end up in a jungle then you're not…"
"Miaow!" interrupted a sassy Louis Walsh, who was at the conference alongside Cheryl and the finalists.
Simon continued: "We want people on this show who want to be recording artists in the real world.
"[Jake's] a nice guy but we should've gone in the jungle first then gone on the show."
Fleur East, Andrea Faustini and Ben Haenow are in the running to become the champion for The X Factor.
