Fleur East wowed in tonight's X Factor 2014 semi-final but it seemed to be at the expense of Lauren Platt who is favourite to miss out on next weekend's final.
It was a festive special on this evening's show as the remaining four finalists each performed twice, starting with a Christmas themed song.
Fleur East opened tonight's show with a classic cover of All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey, but the copy-cat take on the song left Mel B annoyed, wanting a more original "cool" version from the 26-year-old.
Stay Another Day by East 17 was Lauren Platt's (odd) Christmas song choice and the track selection didn't win over Louis. Mel claimed that Lauren still hadn't had her moment but mentor Cheryl said the performance had given her goosebumps.
Ben Haenow took to the stage next, rocking out to Please Come Home For Christmas by The Eagles to unanimous praise from the panel. Cheryl gushed about Ben's nice and "down to earth" personality while mentor Simon compared him to Olly Murs.
Andrea Faustini closed the first round of performances this evening, singing O Holy Night by Mariah Carey. Just like Ben, every single one of the judges was left full of praise as Mel B tried to hold back tears.
For the second round of tracks, the semi-finalists each chose songs they felt would get them into next weekend's final.
Lauren opened the second half of the show with Story Of My Life by One Direction where we were AGAIN reminded that she's JUST 17. Mel B wasn't too won over by Lauren's performance as with her first, saying she was again still waiting for a "moment" from the teenager.
Fleur was out after with Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson, a song that won't even be released here in the UK until January and a choice that Simon admitted was a "risk". The performance saw Louis' seal clap in full swing as Mel declared that Fleur had "killed it".
Andrea Faustini gave the penultimate performance of the night with a cover of Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. The unusual song selection got a diva makeover from the Italian singer but it didn't go down too well with Cheryl.
Closing tonight's X Factor semi-final was therefore Ben who finished the evening with a cover of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. The crowd pleasing track didn't have Mel impressed, who branded it unforgettable to end the show on a bit low.
Lines are now open for viewers to vote for their favourite ahead of the bottom two sing-off tomorrow night.
