Madonna has snubbed The X Factor 2014 final, refusing to perform at Wembley Arena.
It means that bosses are now searching for another 'big name star' to sing this weekend.
Already confirmed are Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, Megan Trainer, Olly Murs, One Direction and Sam Smith, with rumours that Taylor swift may be joining them.
It had been hoped that a performance from Madonna was headline the weekend but her refusal has left producers looking for a new superstar to head the line up of guests.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "There are very few people in the music world who Simon can't appeal to. He has made no secret of the fact that he is desperate to get Madonna on board but she just won't do it.
"The X Factor final is one of the biggest shows on the planet and a great platform for anyone who wants to sell records. It is a big blow to the final."
While the likes of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and One Direction aren't exactly unknowns, X Factor chiefs are reportedly after more.
"None of them has that real wow factor and One Direction are already so closely associated with The X Factor," the source said.

The insider addeed: "A huge American star such as Beyonce, Christina Aguilera or Rihanna makes people's jaws drop to the floor."
The X Factor 2014 final airs from 8:30PM on Saturday night on ITV, live from Wembley Arena.
