Strictly Come Dancing's Ola Jordan is potentially out of action for nine months.
The dancer suffered a serious injury while training for Channel 4 reality show The Jump.
The second series of the dangerous winter sports show sees celebs learn how to tackle challenges such as ski jumping and speed skating.
Unsurprisingly, it turns out that getting amateur stars to take on such challenge doesn't always end well.
Ola has been ruled out of the show before it has even begun and last night missed the Strictly final.
It had been reported that she intended to quit Strictly to launch a new career – including a rumoured reality show with husband and former Strictly pro James – but this now seems unlikely, at least for now.
This week Ola was pictured returning home from hospital in crutches with her leg from toe to hip surrounded by metal.
"It looked bad from the beginning but Ola hoped it looked worse than it was," a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper today. "But the professional advice has come back and the news is very disappointing.
"She's absolutely gutted as there were loads of things in the pipeline which will now have to be put on hold."
The Jump will air on Channel 4 from new month.
