Sir Bruce Forsyth has admitted he doesn't miss Strictly Come Dancing.
The telly host stepped down after a decade fronting the BBC One series earlier this year, although continues to front one-off specials like this week's panto themed Christmas episode.
Speaking to the Daily Mail about his ten years presenting Strictly, Sir Brucie admitted: "It was actually a very lonely job."
The 86-year-old explained: "Of course, the way it was presented, it would never have looked like that.
"People watching at home would see banter and interaction with the dancers, but in fact Tess [Daly] did most of that. I was more on my own. It was me and the camera."
Bruce continued: "I'm a performer. I thrive on interaction, with an audience, with other performers. When you're a presenter, you don't get to do that."
And asked if he missed the show, Sir Bruce confessed: "Well not really."
He said: "When I told the BBC I wanted to step down from the live show, I was delighted when they asked me to continue presenting Strictly's Children In Need and Christmas show.
"It meant I would still have the chance to work with Tess again, whom I adore, and remain part of the Strictly family."
