I'm A Celebrity 2014 contestant Jake Quickenden has insisted he doesn't have a game plan on the show.
The flirty singer said – in his own words – he was "too stupid" to come up with a plan to win over viewers.
He said: "I haven't got a game plan. To be honest, I'm too stupid to think of one – it'll end up going wrong."
Speaking to OK! magazine before entering the junle, jake said: "I love music and that's what I want to do eventually, but I think you'd have to be really stupid to turn down something like this. It's the chance of a lifetime.
"With The X Factor, you get your two-minute VT and then you sing, so you don't get a chance to show your personality – that's what I'm excited about. The camera's on you 24/7 and people get to know the real you. It's the ultimate prize if you win a show like this for being yourself."
He added: "Obviously, I'd have loved to have won The X Factor because it's music, but if I got crowned king of the jungle, it would change my life."
Game plan or not, whatever Jake is doing it's working as he's now the favourite to win the series.
Last night saw former favourite Jimmy Bullard get the axe in the first eviction of the series, leaving bookmakers Paddy Power to firmly install hunky Jake as their 11/10 tip to win.
With the X Factor reject looking likely to have some reality TV glory after all, he still needs to fight it out with second favourite Mel Sykes at 9/4, and wash down that Currie as Edwina Currie advances to third favourite at 13/2.
Paddy Power said, "With Jimmy ejected from camp, it's anyone's game. But will Tarzan Jake be victorious, or will it be one of his Jungle Janes?"
