Stereo Kicks have been kicked out in tonight's X Factor 2014 results.
It was the Quarter Final this weekend as the remaining five acts sung twice for the first time this series, with viewers and celebrity mentors having picked the song choices.
Tonight's XFactor results show opened with a very special group performance from the then remaining five acts, singing Somebody To Love alongside Queen and Adam Lambert.
After a recap of Saturday night's performances, former X Factor stars Union J were the first of tonight's guest performers, singing their new track You Got It All.
They were shortly followed by another X Factor finalist, Ella Henderson, who sung new song Yours.
It saw Stereo Kicks and Lauren Platt in the bottom two after the viewer votes were confirmed, the third time that Stereo Kicks had been in the danger zone but only the first appearance by Lauren.
Over 3.25 million votes were cast and the close result saw just 800 votes between the bottom three acts, with the order having changed four times since the results show had started.
Stereo Kicks and Lauren sung off with the boys singing Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up whereas Lauren performed her original audition song I Know Where I've Been by Queen Latifah.
It was then over to the judges, starting with Louis Walsh who saved his own Stereo Kicks.
Mel B was next but struggled to decide before declaring: "The act I'm going to send home is Lauren, I'm so sorry."
Cheryl stuck by her girl, leaving the casting vote in Simon Cowell's hand.
He said, after a painfully long silence: "The act that sang the best was Lauren so I'm sending home Stereo Kicks."
With the judges' votes tied it went to deadlock and with the fewest votes, Stereo Kicks.
