Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas could provide some male eye candy on Strictly Come Dancing this year.
The soap actor is said to have bulked up his body and sculpted his six-pack to impress show bosses.
It's been reported today that Ryan has made the 'long list' of celebrities to be on the new series, which will be back on BBC One by September.
The Daily Mirror newspaper say that Ryan is hoping his new muscles will win him a spot on the final line up of 15 or so celebrities.
A source told the tabloid: "Ryan is desperate to appear on Strictly. He thinks it's a brilliant programme and has been in talks with the show's producers.
"He's waiting to see if he'll make the show. There are lots of names in the mix so he has to prove himself."
According the insider, "Strictly is looking for a hunk for all the female viewers to admire, so Ryan could be in with a chance if he plays his cards right."
Ryan recently left Coronation Street after 15 years in his role as Jason Grimshaw, although his finl scenes have yet to air on ITV.
Speaking about his exit, Ryan said: "I wanted to have a change and it was about doing something I've never done before."
Other rumoured celebs for the line up this year include Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery, TV presenter couple Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, singer Anastacia, former I'm A Celebrity host Laura Whitmore, butler to the late Princess Diana Paul Burrell and Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood.
Strictly will air on BBC One in the autumn.
