X Factor's Stacey Solomon has finally got around to releasing a proper single, some six years after she appeared on the show.
After delays and set backs to her album plans, a move into TV presenting, a baby and most recently The Jump, Stacey is now ready to get her music out on the charts.
And was it worth the wait? Perhaps. Her debut single Shy seems pretty good on first listen.
The song was co-written by The Voice UK coach Rita Ora, and Stacey's also had help from Lily Allen on what will be her debut album.
But most of the eleven tracks on the record – also called Shy – have been penned by Stacey herself.
"I've had the opportunity to do some amazing things over the past few years, and I'm so grateful, but first and foremost I'm a singer," said Stacey, "This album may have been a long time coming but I love it!"
She added: "Making this album the best it can be has been hard work but so rewarding; I can't wait for people to hear it. I'm so proud of it" she said.
