A new TV show is setting out to find a telly presenter that will rival the likes of Ant and Dec.
The work-in-progress format is being touted as an X Factor for wannabe TV hosts and could air on ITV with a pilot episode being filmed later this month.
With a working title of 'Presenter Camp', the winner would be awarded a TV contract with a production company.
The show is being made by Inspiring TV who said: "We know there are plenty of talented people out there desperate for a big break on television.
"We hope to discover future stars on our show – maybe even the new Ant and Dec."
Solo presenters and double acts would be invited to audition for the new series if it gets the green light.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's like X Factor or Britain's Got Talent, but with the twist that a winner could end up presenting a similar big show."
The programme could be on air next year with an ITV source saying: "It sounds like an interesting concept. Every TV company is on a constant look-out for new young talent.
"This would be a brilliant vehicle for discovering just such a presenter."
