Sir Tomes has claimed that X Factor and Simon Cowell are worried by The Voice UK.
The legendary musician suggested that X Factor boss Simon only ever slams The Voice because he's afraid.
Although we've got to say that we've not seen any comments from Simon about the new series of the BBC One show.
Never the less, Sir Tom claimed to The Sun newspaper: "He [Simon] is worried. People who say things like that are worried.
"But we don't worry about other shows."
The fourth run of The Voice UK starts tonight on BBC One with Sir Tom, Ricky Wilson, Will.i.am and new coach Rita Ora on the panel.
Speaking to The Sun's TV Magazine, Rita revealed how she had initially been set to say no to the offer to join the series.
"When The Voice approached me, my initial thought was: 'No, I'm working on my second album,'" she told the magazine. "But then will.i.am called and said: 'Why aren't you doing it?' and I said: 'Because I just don't feel I can give anything to anybody.'
"He said: 'You need to wake the f*** up because what you can give is that you're current and you've had four No.1s on your first album – embrace that and give it to somebody else and stop being selfish for a second.'"
And Rita also explained that her choice to snub an offer to join The X Factor last year was only a result of her schedule.
"I wouldn't have been able to record The X Factor when they were filming. The Voice was perfect for my schedule," she said.
The Voice UK begins tonight BBC One at 7PM.
