Simon Webbe has denied any romance with his Strictly Come Dancing pro partner Kristina Rihanoff.
The pair were romantically linked following the final of Strictly last month where Simon finished as runner up to Caroline Flack.
"Simon and Kristina had an instant chemistry and the physically attraction between them became intense," a source on Strictly said at the time. "They've spent more than one night together since the series began. They think the world of each other."
Speaking this week, Simon insisted and he and Kristina were just pals.
"We're close, but she's my friend," he said. "I'd never go there.
"I've made mistakes in the past, where I've jumped straight in. I'm not denying she's an attractive woman, but I'd just come out of a relationship and wanted to learn a new skill."
Simon also defended Kristina and dismissed her reputation as a "man eater" after reportedly getting together with some of her previous celebrity partners.
"It is unfair. It's kind of bullying. She's not a man-eater. She's respected as a dancer," he said.
Meanwhile, the Blue singer told new! magazine this week that he was excited for the show's live tour which begins later this month.
"At the end of the last dace, I had no reserves left. I felt glad it was the final, but then I kept dreaming about what I was missing," he recalled. "I need to be weaned off this show. I was told about the effect it would have on my life, and now I'm addicted to it."
