An average audience of 12.3 million viewers tuned in to last night's New Year's Eve celebrations on BBC One.
The massive audience makes the show one of the most watched of 2014, even if technically the fireworks were in the first ten minutes of this year.
A massive peak audience of 13.5 million eventually tuned in, over two thirds of everyone who was watching TV at the time.
While it was down over a million viewers on last year the show was still the second most watched New Year's display since they began airing on TV back on BBC One in 2004.
But despite the huge numbers, unlike last year when an average of 13.7 million viewers tuned in, they aren't going to be the most watched of the year.
Instead that title goes to the World Cup Final which was seen by just under 15 million viewers earlier this year on BBC One as Germany claimed victory over Argentina.
And back in the autumn, the Great British Bake Off finale shocked us all with its huge success as an average of 13.5 million tuned in, also on BBC One.
Earlier in the year, the Britain's Got Talent final on ITV had posted an average audience of 12.1 million viewers as Collabro won the eighth series.
