The X Factor 2015 could end up being very different to any of the previous series.
After ratings for the current run continued to decline despite the fanfare return of Cheryl and Simon Cowell, changes are already been thought up for next year's show.
ITV commissioned both Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor back in February for a further three years, meaning they'll stay on the air until at least 2016.
Speaking about the future of the X Factor, boss Simon admitted that there were currently no plans on who would be on the panel.
Denying that anyone had already been invited back, let alone signed, Simon said: "I'm not sure who would want to do it again. It's exhausting."
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Simon admitted: "The show has to change next year. Maybe a lot."
He told the tabloid: "If we're allowed, it will come back looking and feeling different to anything we have done before.
"It will be quite radical."
At a press conference ahead of the final today, Simon added: "Things have to change, I'm not talking about people on the show, we've got some ideas which I'm excited about."
Ratings for The X Factor's live shows this year have been some of the worst in years, with the semi-final viewing figures getting close to below 7 million viewers.
The gap between rival series Strictly Come Dancing has only grown bigger, at times being close to 3 million.
Talking before the new series of The X Factor began this year, Simon had said: "Of course ratings are important. If we're second to Strictly, I'm not going to lie, I'll be disappointed."
The X Factor UK concludes this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV with the live final from Wembley Arena.
