The X Factor 2014 ratings have continued their yearly downward trend, with last night's final being watched by 150,000 less than in 2013.
The first half of the weekend's live show saw Andrea Faustini finish in third place after he and the other finalists each performed twice.
There were guest appearances from Take That, Meghan Trainor and Ed Sheeran while Ella Henderson and Labrinth were amongst the guest duets.
An average audience of 8.4 million watched the two hour long show, which this week didn't clash with Strictly.
It was down 150,000 viewers on last year but quite a rebound on last Saturday's low, up over a million viewers over the past seven days.
Strictly Come Dancing was however still very clear of the competition, rising 100,000 viewers week-on-week to post a figure of 9.8 million for its semi-final show.
This year's final airs concludes this Sunday night on ITV from 8PM, live from Wembley Arena, where the two remaining contestants will appear in front of an audience of thousands once again.
The shows will also feature guest performances from One Direction, Sam Smith and Olly Murs.
