New The Voice UK coach Rita Ora has revealed why she chose the show over The X Factor.
I Will Never Let You Down hitmaker Rita reportedly said to no a £1 million offer from X Factor's Simon Cowell to join the series last year, following a guest judge appearance on the ITV series.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror this week, Rita has explained why she opted to say yes when The Voice UK producers came knocking in search for a replacement for Kylie Minogue.
And one the reasons are her fellow coaches Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson.
"What makes this show so good is that we each see the contestants from such different perspectives," Rita said ahead of the fourth series premiere next weekend. "I knew that what I thought would never be similar to what the guys think and vice versa."
The singer continued: "I really wanted to approach these contestants without making them feel under pressure with all the cameras and everybody watching.
"I really try to remind them that while this may be your one shot it is not the end. There's only one winner, but hearing a 'No' doesn't mean you give up on everything.
"It's just keeping that aspiration and drive in them regardless of whether they win or not. That is what I want to do."
Rita added: "And I don't want to get in the way of their creativity – I just want to maybe mould it a little bit."
It was previously confirmed when The Voice 2015 starts with the launch date set for January 10, 7PM on BBC One.
