Caroline Flack has topped the Strictly Come Dancing 2014 scoreboard once again tonight, scoring the first perfect 40 of the series.
Jake and Janette opened the show with The Cha Cha to 'Boogie Shoes' by KC and the Sunshine Band, a routine that Craig Revel Horwood described as a "drunken explosion of moves" as the couple left the dancefloor with 30 points.
Frankie and Kevin's first dance of the evening was The Rumba to Lily Allen's version of 'Somewhere Only We Know' and prompted a rather mixed bag of scores. Craig awarded just the seven but it was a ten from Bruno to give the pair a total of 30.
Mark and Karen were next with The Viennese Waltz to 'I Got You Babe' by Sonny and Cher, scoring themselves 33 points amongst mixed remark from the panel.
A "c**k up" in Simon and Kristina' The Samba to 'I Like To Move It' by Reel 2 Real saw it go "horribly wrong", according to Craig, but an impressed Darcy Bussell awarded 9 points to give them a total of 30 overall.
Closing the first round of dances were Caroline and Pasha, dancing The Foxtrot to Josef Salvat's version of 'Diamonds' to top the leaderboard after the first dances with 35 points.
It was then back to Jake as the stars tackled their second dance of the evening.
The Eastenders actor performed The Viennese Waltz to 'When a Man Loves a Woman' by Percy Sledge to more lukewarm comments from the judges who awarded just the one more mark compared to his first dance, giving a total of 61 out of 80 for the evening.
It was The Argentine Tango to 'The 5th' by David Garrett for Frankie and Kevin's potentially last dance and they made it count, scoring 38 points, their joint highest marks of the series so far to give a total of 72.
Mark and Karen's Rumba to Eva Cassidy's version of 'Fields of Gold' saw them match their earlier mark for an overall total of 66.
Next up, Simon and Kristina got back on track with the Foxtrot to 'My Guy' by Mary Wells. Their score of 38 was their best of the series to date and gave them combined marks of 68 out of 80.
Finishing tonight's semi-final was Caroline and Pasha with The Salsa to 'Maria' by Ricky Martin that got a 10 from all four judges to score the first perfect 40 of the series.
Therefore after both dances, Caroline was top with 75 marks out of 80 whereas Jake was bottom with just 61.
