Louis Smith has said that training again for Strictly Come Dancing has been "intense".
The former Strictly champ is back for this year's Christmas special with the new partner, having originally performed with Flavia Cacace.
Speaking ahead of the show's airdate on Christmas day this week, he said: "The first week [in trainng] was intense but as soon as we got the steps right, we've been having fun.
"We do the routine, have a chat for 15 minutes then get back on it again."
Louis continued: "She's really nice. She's a brilliant teacher."
The Olympian went on to say were it not for his current career a move into dancing would most definitely be for him.
"We're doing four hours a day and then I'm returning to train for my gymnastics! I would love to keep this up," Louis confessed. "I would love to be a professional dancer, if I wasn't a gymnast. I'd love to be in a show and incorporate it all."
Other celebs taking part in the one-off Xmas special this year are singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, S Club 7's Rachel Stevens, TV presenter Chris Hollins and Astrologer Russell Grant.
And Louis reckons it'll be a closely fought competition.
"I think everyone will do well," he says. "Everyone's putting in the effort, nobody wants to make a fool of themselves."
The Strictly Come Dancing 2014 Christmas special airs Xmas Day on BBC One.
