Former Strictly Come Dancing star Denise Van Outen has eyed up a spot on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The West End performer said she'd be up for taking part in the ITV series when it returns to screens next year.

Denise, who made the final of Strictly back in 2012 with pro partner James Jordan, said: "I would enjoy doing the jungle.

"I couldn't do the eating trials but I could do everything else."

She added to the Daily Star newspaper today: "I'd be fine living in the jungle and I don't mind all the reptiles and bugs."

The most recent series of I'm A Celebrity ended at the start of the month as biker Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty was crowned the new King of the Jungle.

He beat X Factor star Jake Quickenden and TV presenter Melanie Sykes in the final.
