Jimmy Bullard has become the first contestant to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2014.
The Wombats tribe – Jimmy, Carl Fogarty, Melanie Sykes and Tinchy Stryder – had faced tonight's public vote after the Galahs saved themselves in the immunity battles.
But it was Jimmy who received the least support, with viewers turning on him when his 'banter' with pals Foggy and Jake Quickenden became a little too intense.
The footballer had begun the series as one of the favourites to win – but he was knocked off his perch by Jake in the wake of the controversy.
Reacting to his exit, Jimmy told hosts Ant and Dec: "I was loving it in there, I wanted to stay a little bit longer. I loved it, I really did, I'd like to thank everyone that got me on here."
Talking about life in the camp, Jimmy said: "I've always been around fellas, it's as close to a change as I've had in the last three years. I was gagging for more people to come in, the more people the better for me.
"I was struggling with my hunger, it was tough at times. I didn't really know what to expect, I was letting myself in the unknown."
The 36-year-old added that he wants either Foggy or Jake to win, and joked that he'd stay in touch with all of his campmates "unless they delete my number".
The immunity twist has now ended, meaning all nine of the remaining celebs are now in danger of being voted out.
The second elimination will take place in tomorrow night's episode, which airs at 8.30pm on ITV.
