Jimmy Bullard has blasted I'm A Celebrity editors and blamed them for his exit on the show.
The footie star was the first celebrity booted out of the competition this year on Monday night in a surprising elimination result.
Having been one of the favourites to win, Jimmy claims that editors made him out to be a 'bad guy' in a bid to get ratings.
"It was edited to make me look bad. If people had been allowed to see the real me, I would still be in there. It was a stitch-up," Jimmy claimed.
Jimmy was branded a bully by some for his 'banter' with Jake Quickenden in the camp, but he says that the conversations were taken out of context.
"I've seen some clips and have seen how different it has been shown," he said. "I've seen that Jake clip back. It was totally tongue-in-cheek, but the way it came across on TV was totally not how it came across in camp."
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jimmy explained: "Me and Jake are great friends and we're going to be for a long time. It was total banter.
"Let me tell you, he gave as good as he took. Saying that, I can be a bit of a nightmare.
"I can see how it can come across as harsh for the punters to watch. But in our little bubble it was just banter."
A spokesperson for ITV denied that footage had been unfairly edited.
They said: "Everything broadcast is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp."
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight on ITV with the third elimination of the series.
