Edwina Currie has predicted big things for her fellow I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Jake Quickenden, claiming that he could follow in the footsteps of Bruce Forsyth.
With the reality show coming to a close, yesterday talk among the final four turned to where they would like to be in five years' time.
Melanie Sykes said she wanted to find her Mr. Right, musing: "I always said I wanted to retire by the time I'm 50. And I'd like to find somebody to love and take care of me as well."
Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty joked that he wouldn't even have left the jungle. "I'll still be here having failed to readjust to life outside," he grinned.
"You'll find me running around here speaking a different language, I probably do anyway, spearing some deer to try and survive off."
Edwina said she'd like to write more books, and suggested that Jake could become an author as well.
"Next Christmas you'll have a book, 'Jake: The Story So Far'," claimed the former MP. "It will be a number one bestseller. And in five years' time, it'll be 'Jake: The Story So Far, Part 2′."
Jake was more interested in his first love, saying: "Obviously I want to do something in music; write an album, release music and see how it goes. Maybe a little cheeky jungle work out DVD with Mel, Jungle Jane and Tarzan!"
But Edwina thought he could aim higher. "I had an image of you in 25 years' time, as a kind of future Bruce Forsyth," she revealed. "An all round entertainer and loved by the public complete with a CBE or a Knighthood or something. You could do anything."
Jake scoffed at the idea of becoming the next Brucie, saying: "I doubt that."
Well, it is a big ask for someone who was eliminated in the fourth week of The X Factor…
I'm A Celebrity 2014 concludes tomorrow night at 9.00pm on ITV.
