Edwina Currie had another chance to get close to Jake Quickenden when they faced the latest I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 'Dingo Dollar' challenge yesterday.
The pair was sent to a jungle clearing, where they found a giant venus fly trap with the instructions: "A hungry venus fly trap, is waiting way up high, for its favourite tasty snack, a pesty jungle fly.
"The spider's web is holding, the plants beloved stash, throw them up to feed the trap, to win the precious cash."
Edwina begun teasing Jake as they debated who should take which role, saying: "Well you know spiders, the female of the species is deadlier than the male… and you know what female spiders do to their blokes?"
They agreed on Jake being the fly and Edwina being the spider, with the former MP joking that she should have shaved as she donned her hairy costume.
Edwina's job was to climb through a spider's web to retrieve stuffed flies and throw them up to Jake, who was suspended in the air.
"Can I let you know something? My crotch is in turmoil because this harness is crushing my balls," he revealed.
"Well that's what comes from not wearing any knickers Jake," she replied.
"How do you know that?" Jake asked in shock.
"It's very obvious," Edwina cheekily responded.
Much flirting later, they retrieved the Dingo Dollars, opting to exchange them for scones, butter and strawberry jam – but they lost the prize when the celebs back in camp blew their teaser question, 'What percentage of Brits said it was possible to maintain a happy marriage without sex?'
The options were 61% or 36% – and they incorrectly agreed on the higher percentage.
The group was shocked by the answer – and Edwina had no hard feelings, commenting: "In camp everyone was a bit down. I'm not sure they even believe it. If they were asked the same question again I think they would give the same answer."
I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow night at 9.30pm on ITV.
