Britain's Got Talent is officially the most watched show this year - so far.
The second audition episode of this year's series saw a bumper audience of 12.5 MILLION viewers.
10.3 million had tuned in to the show on the night and now consolidated figures reveal that more than 2 million caught up over the next seven days.
It boosted the show to 12.46 million viewers, or 11.94 million without ITV+1.
Both figures make BGT the biggest show of 2016 to date, overtaking BBC's New Year's Day Sherlock episode which has held the top spot from the very start of the year with 11.64 million viewers.
Now obviously, whether or not Britain's Got Talent can hold on to the title until the end of the year remains to be seen.
This summer sees the Euro 2016 football tournament, the Olympic games plus a new series of the Great British Bake Off which all have the potential to post big viewing figures.
There's also Strictly Come Dancing, Christmas Day viewing and even X Factor which could post a threat to BGT's crown.
Of course, Britain's Got Talent itself is still very much on air and could easily increase its current record high with even bigger ratings for future shows.
Even if BGT doesn't quite hang on to the top spot, show bosses and ITV will no doubt be over the moon with the figure.
It's actually the highest rated audition show for Britain's Got Talent in SEVEN YEARS, reaching numbers last seen in Susan Boyle and Diversity's peek 2009 run.
