X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has revealed he may quit the show this year.
The TV presenter has been fronting the ITV series for eight years now having first joined the line up alongside Dannii Minogue in 2007.
Dermot has become the show's longest running host having run the programme from the stage with judges on the panel over the years including Dannii, Cheryl, Simon Cowell, Tulisa, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger.
Speaking about coming back for Series 12 this year, Dermot said this week: "I haven't made up my mind yet.
"I love doing [X Factor] and it's a huge part of my life. But it's eight years now."
He told the Radio Times that while he was still enjoying the show he would prefer a new challenge.
He said: "If a new challenge came up that meant I couldn't do both, then… But while I'm still enjoying it, I want to carry on doing it."
Details about the new series of The X Factor from hosts to judges aren't expected to be confirmed until February at the very earliest.
