Mel B's sister has taken to Twitter to ask what's wrong with the X Factor judge.

In a rather bizarre situation that's played out for us all to see, Danielle Brown has been begging for information on Mel.

The Spice Girl singer missed last night's X Factor final admid reports that she had collapsed and being taken to hospital.

Further stories this morning claimed that she remained in hospital after Tulisa stepped in for her on last year's show, with doctors currently running tests.

"This is ridiculous and cruel !!! Evil ! How can NO one tell me and my family where my sister is and what is going on?????" Danielle asked. "Just a simple call to say she gonna be ok is all it takes!!!!"

Tweeting Simon Cowell, Danielle continued: "How can NO one tell me and my family where my sister is and what is going on????? Can you please help? Or who can we contact?"

She then took aim at Mel's husband Stephen Belafonte, writing online: "STOP @stephenthinks1 with your evil lies!! You told me and my mum yesterday she is fine and not in hospital @SimonCowell just doing press!

"@stephenthinks1 and now you say she is sick but ok Where is my sister??? What have you done??

"@stephenthinks1 if I have 2go press I will! Ive recorded all your calls 4 the past week including your 330am abusive call and Mel visit 2dad."

A spokesperson for Mel has yet to comment on the latest reports.

The X Factor 2014 concludes tonight with the last live show from Wembley Arena.
